Our Vision Statement -

Jesus said:
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."
This is the greatest and first commandment.
And a second is like it:
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39)
"Do not be afraid .. .follow me." (Luke 5:10 and Mark 1:17)

Dare to imagine God's hope for the world ...
     • where justice is the foundation of peace replacing war and oppression
     • where by sacrificial sharing, no child of God wakes up hungry, homeless or without hope
     • where people are passionate caretakers of God's creation, and still enough to hear God's whisper
Dare to imagine God's people ...
     • who hunger tenaciously for God's word
     • who celebrate our differences
     • who practice forgiveness and do the hard work of reconciliation
     • who do not exist for ourselves, but for God's purpose
Dare to imagine our First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint as a contrast community ...
     • created by God, called by Christ and guided by the Spirit, to pray, worship, listen and embody Christ's word
     • where all are welcome
     • coming together as a unified people committed to participating in God's mission for the world
     • obedient to God's call, willing to change course as directed by God
     • joyfully praising and worshiping God with every song, word and deed

In love and obedience, alI Lord, transform us into bold and courageous people - your light in the world. Make us
humble, surrendering ourselves to follow you. Give us strength to commit to your vision..   Amen

Healing and Renewal Service
April 18

All who have worshipped with us over the past many years are invited to a special celebration of healing and renewal.

Join us in celebrating the power of healing and renewal we are promised by the love, mercy and grace that comes to us from God.

At Worship on April 18, we will have a special observance of letting go of anxieties and opening up to new possibilities that the Spirit may have in store for us.
